See our job opening below. **Intercity Packers** is the largest meat/seafood distribution company in Western Canada and part of the Gordon Food Service (GFS). As our innovative business continues to grow rapidly, we are seeking for a **full-time** **Maintenance Technician **for our **Richmond **location. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, this role performs various skilled mechanical maintenance and repair duties on various types of equipment, including cranes, conveyors, poser industrial vehicles (PIV) and building facilities in accordance with accepted standards, regulations and procedures. Ensures that all equipment is in working order for maximum operating efficiency **Position**:Full-Time, Permanent **Schedule**: Wednesday - Sunday 9:00am to 17:30 but Saturday 6:30am to 15:00. **Durin training, schedule will be Monday to Friday** **Salary**:From $25/h **Duties & Responsibilities** - Performs routine audits to ensure conformance to operational and safety requirements and standards. - Performs corrective and preventive maintenance activities on systems to provide the continuous performance of HVAC, electricity, gas, life safety, security, and other systems required for operations. - Proactively report and request tools, equipment, and supplies required for operations. - Prepares records, reports, and other documentation related to work performed in an accurate and timely manner. - Performs general trades work in the facility as required. - Ensure up-to-date knowledge of operational and safety compliance, regulations and standards. **Requirements**: - Minimum high school diploma or equivalent - Licensed: Refrigeration Operator or 4th Class Engineer or Higher - HVAC Experience is an asset - Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner - Knows basic computer systems: MS Office, Google Sheets, Docs and Drive, Inventory and Sales System (Canopy) - Ability to communicate effectively, helps in creating an inclusive and trust-based culture and leads the team in delivering high customer service. - Knowledge of workplace safety, food safety, safe lifting and handling procedures - Knowledge of meat and seafood production and warehousing - Flexible Hours: **What We Offer** - Competitive Total Rewards Program: - Industry-standard salary package - Flexible benefits program including dental, vision, prescription drugs, disability, and extended health coverage - Company-matched retirement program - Profit Sharing - In-house certification, training, and career advancement opportunities - Special employee discounts on all meat and seafood products - Employee appreciation events and social club activities all year round - Positive employee culture and rewards for performance - Annual boot allowance (50% up to $100) At Intercity Packers Meat & Seafood, we believe in good food and good people.
