We are currently looking for a Junior Maintenance Technician to join our team at our production facility located in Richmond Hill.

**Position Summary**

The Junior Maintenance Technician will ensure that production runs uninterrupted by repairing, maintaining, and troubleshooting production machinery. In addition to working with other Maintenance team members, the Junior Maintenance Technician will work closely with Machine Operators and Continuous Improvement. This role will also have the opportunity to assist with the development of a Preventive Maintenance program for production machinery.

**Responsibilities**
- Repair and maintain the operating condition of production equipment, including reassembly of parts after completion of repair, testing, or inspection.
- Analyze test results, machine error messages, and information obtained from operators; troubleshoot and diagnose equipment and system problems based on data received.
- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics and electrical code specifications to understand production machinery
- Assist with data entry and collection for the preventative maintenance program software
- Assist with the development and logging of machinery part inventory
- Communicate potential mechanical hazards on equipment to supervisors and operators.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives. Present suggestions for improvement to achieve best practice standards.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or certificate/licence in related trade preferred.
- 1 year of hands-on experience in automation/manufacturing/industrial maintenance.
- Excellent English language skills (oral and written) required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed

Pay: $23.00-$25.00 per hour
