**Maintenance Technician - (Richmond, BC)**

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Maintenance Technician’s duties and responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:

- Responsible for Preventive Maintenance Program (PM)
- Perform all tasks listed on the Preventative Maintenance work orders as required
- Ensure that new or modified equipment commissioned for use will not introduce food safety hazards to the product
- Commission new equipment and establish a maintenance program based on manufacturer’s instructions and risk assessment
- Ensure that maintenance chemicals are labelled and stored in a safe place
- Responsible for temporary and emergency repairs
- Ensure Maintenance Shop is kept clean and tidy to prevent contamination risks to the product
- Responsible for preventing contamination to the food product during maintenance and cleaning operations
- Controlled inventory and storage of tools
- Use of hygienic practices during maintenance and repair task ensuring equipment or parts is not contaminated with hazards
- Complete clean up after maintenance activities by removing potential foreign body hazards (i.e. equipment parts, bolts, screws, nuts, etc.)
- Cleaning of tools after repairs to food contact surfaces
- Extra duties as assigned by Supervisor
