**Building Warranty & Maintenance Technician**

**Job Type**: Full time

**Schedule**: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm but be willing to work outside prescribed hours as needed for emergencies or special events

**Location**: Richmond

We are looking for a reliable Building Warranty & Maintenance Technician to handle repair and maintenance tasks in strata buildings as well as our own premises.

**Responsibilities**

You must be well-organized with strong general repair skills and is physically able to perform a range of maintenance and repair duties both indoors and outdoors. A keen eye for detail is greatly valued in this job. The ability to address work orders and repairs with an acceptable standard of skill and a sense of responsibility in a timely and friendly manner is essential.

The Building Warranty & Maintenance Technician Personnel will need to have expertise in residential and commercial repair and maintenance. You must have basic construction skills, be organized, and effectively communicate with others with a positive attitude and a strong customer focus.

**Requirements and Skills**
- Painting Interior and Exterior
- Dry Wall Repair / Patching
- Minor Plumbing, HVAC & Electrical Knowledge
- Flooring Repair
- General Cleaning
- Change Light Bulbs / Change HVAC Filters
- Fluency in English (written & verbal)
- Professional working proficiency in Mandarin a plus
- Able to assess service requests, review and assign work orders as required with training
- Based out of the Richmond Office but from time to time, able to help at the Vancouver office as required
- Assist tradespeople with access coordination
- Undertake duties as assigned or emergency tasks
- Identify and report the need for major repairs
- Purchase and source materials & supplies required for repairs and maintenance as well as keeping an accurate inventory of all company-owned tools and equipment
- Interior and minor exterior painting including suite painting upon turnover, hallway touch ups, graffiti removal, etc.
- Must have a current Driver’s License and own a vehicle is an asset
- Experience with hardware tools
- Basic understanding of building systems
- Basic understanding of computer skills
- Great communication ability
- Well-organized and apt in problem solving
- Attention to detail
- Relevant technical training an asset

Pay: From $78,000.00 per year
