Business Development Representative

CD Wholesale Foods (formerly Crown Dairy) is an independently owned distributor of dairy and other food items, that has been providing service to businesses and institutions in Guelph and the surrounding area for over 80 years. To meet the needs of our growing business, we have created an entry level Business Development Representative role to support recent customer growth and opportunuties currently under development.
We foresee this role evolving with the business, however our current requirements are supporting the President in:
- Existing customer service and optimization
- Assisting in the development of marketing plans and materials
- Maintenance of electronic platforms and communication
- Execution of sales/marketing plans
- Identification and acquisition of prospective customers
- Competitive market review/analysis
- Sales data review/analysis
- Assisting in the sourcing and development of new products
The starting salary for this role is $800 per week, with an opportunity for additional performance based income. Extended medical benefits are available at a shared cost after three months of service.
- Post secondary business degree or diploma, with a focus in sales and/or marketing
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written
- Excellent ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work in a deadline-driven environment
- Strong analytical ability, inclusive of advanced Excel skills
- A passion for building and maintaining customer satisfaction
- An interest in building professional skillsets to assist in realizing advancement opportunities
