**What does your day at GIP look like?**
- Answer, screen and forward telephone calls quickly, politely and in a professional manner
- Greet people and direct them to appropriate contacts or service areas.
- Operate telephone system and office equipment (fax, copier, printer, postage machine)
- Obtain and process information required to provide services.
- Receive, sort and distribute incoming mail and courier packages.
- Prepare and send outgoing mail and courier packages.
- Maintain general office supplies, place orders, and distribute when received.
- Perform clerical duties, such as filing and maintaining phone lists.
- Perform data entry for health and safety department as required.
- Assist with various clerical accounting duties.

**Enough about us, let’s talk about you.**
- Post-Secondary education
- At least three years of experience in a receptionist/administrative role
- Proficient Microsoft Office skills
- Clear and professional phone manner and face-to-face communication skills
- Able to manage multiple requests, prioritize and work according to established deadlines, internal processes, and policies.
- Strong organizational and time management skills in a fast-paced environment
- Detail oriented
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
- Initiative, self-motivation and adaptability.

**What’s nice to have?**
- Previous clerical accounting experience is an asset.
- Intermediate Excel skills
- Experience in a construction setting is an asset.
- Able to interact professionally with all levels of business partners and build strong working relationships.
- Results-driven with an ability to deliver success in a fast-paced environment.
- Outcome focused, critical thinker with the ability to analyse and visualize to ensure continuous improvement across our business.
- Ability to connect and interact with people to seek different perspectives.
- Superb communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple competing priorities.
- Demonstrated versatility and resourcefulness in overcoming business challenges.

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Bowmanville, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Front desk: 1 year (preferred)
- Administrative experience: 1 year (preferred)
