We are looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable **full-time Accounting & Payroll Specialist** to represent one of the leading privately owned wine and spirits agencies in Canada. Founded in 1982, Select Wines represents key wineries and category leading products from top wine producing countries and employs over 130 wine passionate and ambitious people from coast to coast.

This role will be responsible for providing consistent, accurate and timely payroll and additional ad hoc accounting services.

Job Responsibilities:

- Respond to external vendors and internal managers regarding all aspects of the accounts payable process, including processing invoices for payment, recording sales tax, assisting with bank reconciliations, and documenting loans.
- Assembling reports of company earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability payments, and non-taxable wages. Calculate manual payments when required.
- Preparing year-end employee tax slips or forms and submitting government filings.
- Set up new employees and update current employee profiles.
- Responding in a timely manner to payroll related questions and assist with resolution to problems.
- Perform ancillary or related duties as required.
- Minimum two years of general accounting experience & payroll
- Experience with third party payroll system
- Bilingualism (French & English) is an asset
- Outstanding interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations
- Strong attention to detail
- A team player who is flexible, versatile and able to provide assistance wherever needed to meet team and department deadlines.
