**Admin Support - Learning Strategies**

Reporting to the Learning Strategist, this position is responsible for providing administrative support to the Learning Strategies team and to the Upper School Admin team. This individual is often the first point of contact for students in the Student Centre. The person will invigilate and manage testing, and maintain comprehensive data on student accommodations, supports, and results. Work hours are typically 8:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday to Friday. Support with make-up testing after school will be required occasionally.

**Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to**:

- Greets and connects with students in the Student Centre.
- Invigilates and manages quizzes, tests and exams in the Student Centre.
- Be a support for students by knowing the student, their accommodations, and individual needs.
- Operates assistive technology for students to complete quizzes, tests and exams.
- Ensures security of testing materials, testing performances, and testing environment.
- Manages the day-to-day calendar for the Learning Strategies Department (including scheduling and confirming parent, teacher and student meetings; classroom observations; workshops, etc.).
- Develops and implements operational processes to enhance the overall efficiency and effectiveness of Learning Strategies.
- Generates accommodation room lists and prepares folders/materials, for exams in coordination with the Learning Strategist.
- Has primary responsibility for maintaining information for testing accommodations within TMS, IB, College Board, and ACT documentation of special education needs.
- Tracks and supervises students working in the Student Centre during Prep periods.
- Assists with updating and maintaining filing systems and databases, including student records.
- Provides data analysis support.
- Creates and archives Academic Support plans for students who are on status.
- Compiles leaving class packages for students with accommodations (i.e., documentation, IIP, and instructions for post-secondary accommodations)
- Manages all the sensitive documents including inclusion of info for the OSR.
- Orders and maintains supplies for the Learning Strategies team.
- Provides administrative support for departmental events, workshops, and parent evenings
- Supports Campus Coordinator, including reception relief.
- Performs other administrative duties as assigned.

**Qualifications, Experience and Attributes**:

- Post-secondary education or equivalent experience
- Completion of post-secondary diploma in administration considered an asset
- Strong communication, collaboration, time management and task-initiation skills
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with colleagues, faculty, students and parents
- Ability to assess schedule requirements; anticipate and resolve schedule conflicts
- Ability to manage confidential information and handle sensitive matters with discretion and compassion
- Strong capacity for flexibility, self-direction and initiative
- CPR and First Aid Training is an asset
- A current Vulnerable Sector Police Record Check
