Ocean Optometry Inc is a vibrant independent optometry business consisting of 4 offices and two distribution companies. We are looking forward to bringing on board an enthusiastic, collaborative, motivated, and organized individual to the brigade. Our Administrative Assistant (Bookkeeping) will join our Head Office Team in an entry level position.
We are looking for someone wanting to grow and develop in this role and make it their own. You will learn the ins and outs from the unique position of Administrative Assistant alongside our owners, Leadership Team, Accounting Technician and Business Support Administrator.

**What will this look like?**
Although there is an allocated desk and room to conduct your work, you’ll be working in a relaxed and open space environment with the owners and/or leadership team regularly working from the adjacent office area.
Main duties and responsibilities.
*Assisting our Accounting Technician with bookkeeping tasks *Manage reconciliation of insurance and third party payments as required
- Follow up on outstanding payments *Liaise with clinic managers to ensure outstanding Accounts Receivable are taken care of and followed up on. *Data Entry/ Verification of Payroll for Clinic and Head Office Brigade *Management of Invoices *Collaboration with Accounting Technician to improve systems and processes
There will be plenty of room to grow and evolve alongside the company.

**What you’ll need to bring.**
*1 year of administrative experience - with an aptitude for bookkeeping
- Strong Communications Skills - Oral and Written *Excellent Time Management
- self motivator *The ability to analyze data and prepare reports
- A fluency in Google and Microsoft Office suites *Attention to detail and accuracy *Experience with QuickBooks or a willingness to learn. *Demonstrated Organization and Planning skills *An abundance of Integrity and discretion *Creative troubleshooting skills *Hard work and positive energy *The ability to think outside of the box *A spirited sense of fun
**Brigade Schedule**
40 - 42.5 hrs. / weekly, Monday - Friday 9- 5:30
(Occasionally projects may require working in the evening or Saturdays)
