AutoShack, a leading expert in Direct-to-Consumer Retail Auto Parts Distribution for 40+ years, is seeking an onsite Senior Systems Administrator.

**Position Title**: Senior Systems Administrator (Onsite)

**Location**:Stittsville, ON

**Role & Responsibilities**:
AutoShack is currently looking for a Senior Systems who will use the extensive knowledge and skills obtained through their education and experience to maintain and enhance the systems and network infrastructures of AutoShack.

Key responsibilities include:

- Maintenance and administration of Windows-based computer systems and related environments including the hardware and system software that comprise all servers, firewalls, switches, and other equipment
- Administration of the access and usage of networked communication systems (Phone systems, Office 365 (including Exchange online), Active Directory, Sophos firewall, Hyper-V, etc.)
- Managing all IT-related licensing contracts and updates with our software vendors
- Diagnosing both hardware and software problems - installing replacements where necessary
- Performing routine network and workstation set-up and maintenance tasks
- Ensuring the integrity of data storage and back-up (Datto) systems
- Designing, configuring, and testing various networked solutions to support the company’s infrastructure
- Network administration - able to design and configure environments that make use of both ethernet and wireless access points of communication.
- Recommending changes to improve systems and network configurations
- Managing the configuration of operating systems - particularly Windows.
- Determining hardware and software requirement as well as planning and executing their implementation
- Anticipating potential problems and, whenever possible, taking action to solve them before they impact users
- Providing support for all users of all systems across the entire organization

**Education, Experience, and Qualifications**:
**Required Technical Skills and Experience**:

- A degree or diploma in an IT-related discipline. Equivalent work experience will be considered if it can be substantiated.
- Excellent customer service skills
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Planning, organization, and problem-solving skills
- A minimum of 5 years of experience working in the information technology field as a network/systems administrator
- Exceptional experience with Windows 10/11 and Windows Server 2012/2019.
- Knowledge of SQL Server deployment strategies and configuration
- Expert knowledge of Active Directory and its configuration
- Experience with Sophos anti-virus and firewall administration
- Knowledge of networked systems their management/maintenance
- Experience working in a software development environment would be an asset
- Experience working in a manufacturing or warehouse environment would also be an asset
- The ability to showcase their ability and experience with regards to the above
