**Job Overview**

**Duties**
- Assist dentists during various procedures including restorations, extractions, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric treatments.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
- Take and develop dental X-rays while adhering to HIPAA regulations and aseptic techniques.
- Record vital signs and medical history information accurately in electronic health records (EMR systems).
- Operate dental imaging equipment such as 3D scanners and medical imaging devices.
- Maintain patient comfort through effective chairside assisting and four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Manage medical documentation including medical records, coding, and documentation of procedures performed.
- Ensure infection control standards are strictly followed to prevent cross-contamination.
- Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient flow as a dental receptionist when needed.
- Educate patients on oral health care and post-treatment instructions using appropriate dental terminology.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with knowledge of general dentistry procedures.
- Proficiency with EMR systems like Eaglesoft, Dentrix, Epic or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality.
- Experience with X-ray techniques and medical imaging equipment including 3D scanners.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques.
- Ability to perform chairside assisting for various specialties including pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and periodontics.
- Certification in radiography or X-ray technology preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in medical documentation and records management.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients of all ages and team members. This position is integral to delivering high-quality patient care while supporting the operational efficiency of our practice.
