**Role Overview**

We’re looking for a hands-on **Production Manager** with a solid mechanical engineering background and proven expertise in PET extrusion, thermoforming, and machinery operation. This role involves overseeing PET production lines using equipment such as **ILLIG, Van Dam, Starlinger, and extrusion lines**. You’ll be the technical pillar, ensuring operational excellence and continuous improvement.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Lead and supervise daily production operations for extrusion and thermoforming facilities—ensuring efficiency, safety, and alignment with company targets.
- Implement strategic production planning, resource optimization, and troubleshooting to maintain high-quality output and minimize downtime.
- Oversee maintenance schedules, preventive programs, and technical upgrades for key equipment (ILLIG, Van Dam, Starlinger).
- Mentor, lead, and develop the production team, promoting safety-first operations and continuous improvement.
- Monitor KPIs—like OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), yield, and scrap rates—and initiate corrective actions as necessary.
- Collaborate with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, capital planning, and equipment projects.
- Drive Lean or similar operational excellence methodologies for optimized workflows.

**Qualifications & Experience**
- 7+ years of progressive leadership experience in PET extrusion and thermoforming production.
- In-depth technical expertise with extrusion lines, ILLIG, Van Dam, and Starlinger recycling machinery.
- Degree or diploma in **Mechanical Engineering** or a related technical field.
- Proven ability in machinery troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and process optimization.
- Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
- Familiarity with Lean practices and Canadian manufacturing standards is a plus.
