Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented **Exhibit Shop Technician** to support our production and staging operations. In this role, you will pre-stage trade show exhibits, assemble booth structures, test graphics, and prepare components—including audio/visual equipment, furniture, and flooring—for shipment. While most work is completed in our shop, you must also be able to travel across Canada and internationally to support booth installations when required.

**Responsibilities**:

- Pre-stage exhibits in the shop to ensure all components fit and function correctly before shipping.
- Assemble and disassemble small exhibit structures, modular systems, and custom displays.
- Inspect, test, and install graphics to confirm proper sizing, fit, and finish.
- Pull, organize, and prepare audio/visual equipment, furniture, flooring, and accessories for each project.
- Follow build drawings, floorplans, and staging instructions with accuracy.
- Maintain and organize inventory of exhibit components, tools, and hardware.
- Assist with repairs, cleaning, and refurbishing of exhibit properties between shows.
- Support production staff with general shop duties and exhibit preparation.
- Travel across Canada and internationally for booth installations and dismantles when required.

Skills & Qualifications
- Valid passport and ability to travel across Canada and internationally as needed.
- Ability to read, write, and follow written instructions and build drawings.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills; able to collaborate with shop staff and project managers.
- Experience in exhibit production, carpentry, staging, or related field preferred.
- Knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and basic assembly techniques.
- Comfortable working in a physical role (lifting, moving, and handling materials).
- Basic knowledge of audio/visual equipment setup is an asset.
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work under deadlines.

Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
