Intelligent Wellhead Systems (IWS) is currently seeking a Shop Technician to join our team. IWS is a privately owned technology company backed by Pason Systems that specializes in the development and deployment of proprietary well control systems. Through extensive R&D efforts, IWS has developed the inVision product lines. IWS innovation is the result of our team of multi-disciplined engineers, pressure control experts, software developers, and partnerships with leading energy companies. The Shop Technician role is critical to IWS success, providing assistance to the Production Manager and Assembly Technicians.

- IWS is a computer-based company, proficient computer skills are a must

Mechanically inclined - ability to work hand and power tools efficiently

Multi-tasking - ability to work with conflicting priorities whilst under pressure

Positive attitude, good work ethic and desire to take on new initiatives

**Responsibilities**:
Shipping/Receiving

Inventory - keep track of inventory, pick up supplies from vendors

Heavy Equipment use - forklift, bobcat, crane, hydraulic rigs

Housekeeping - daily checklist to keep shop clean and running efficiently

General Labour - basic assembly, grinding metal/paint prep

Assembling/calibrating equipment for on and offshore work

Assisting with engineering and R&D

Various other tasks associated with maintaining field equipment

**Qualifications**:
Valid and current Class 5 Drivers License

Forklift & Crane certifications preferred

Must be willing and able to work through difficult weather conditions and challenging work site environments

Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, moving equipment

Proficient in mechanical and/or electrical systems

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From $26.00 per hour
