**Shop Technician**

**Full Time**

**Wage starting at $25 per hour plus annual bonus**

Sunset Memorial & Stone is a fast-growing company with customers throughout North America, providing a wide offering of granite cabinets for cemeteries (columbaria) as well as cemetery monuments within the province of Alberta. Sunset is expanding into the US Market through a subsidiary called Columbarium USA. The company has now grown to the point where we need to immediately hire a **Shop Technician.**

Reporting to the Columbarium Manager, the Shop Technician will be expected to provide a wide variety of support within the shop / manufacturing environment.

**What will you do?**
- Forklift material in and out of the shop.
- Dispose of wood crating used in the material shipping process.
- Assist in the manufacturing of both indoor and outdoor columbaria. This includes the use of handheld power tools, as well as drill presses and band saws.
- Ensure that the yard and manufacturing facility is kept clean.
- Assist with Sunset’s Health and Safety activities.
- Clean drivers abstract.
- An ability to take direction as well as demonstrate self motivation in previous jobs.
- Good with people and enjoys working on a team.
- Previous experience in driving larger 3 or 5Ton trucks.
- An ability to drive a manual transmission would be a valuable advantage but not a pre-requisite.
- Previous forklift experience is mandatory.
