**Job Title: Shop Technician**

Reporting to the Shop Lead the Shop Technician will be responsible for the following:

- Intermediate Computer Skills
- IWS is a computer-based company, proficient computer skills are a must
- Mechanically inclined - ability to work hand and power tools efficiently
- Multi-tasking - ability to work with conflicting priorities whilst under pressure
- Organization skills
- People skills - ability to work closely in a team environment
- Confident communication
- Positive attitude, good work ethic and desire to take on new initiatives
- Pet friendly environment

**Responsibilities**:

- Shipping/Receiving
- Inventory - keep track of inventory, pick up supplies from vendors
- Heavy Equipment use - forklift and overhead crane,
- Housekeeping - daily checklist to keep shop clean and running efficiently
- General Labour - basic assembly, grinding metal/paint prep
- Assembling/calibrating equipment.
- Assisting with engineering and R&D
- Various other tasks associated with maintaining field equipment

**Qualifications**:

- Valid and current Class 5 Driver's License
- Forklift & Crane certifications preferred
- Must be willing and able to work through difficult weather conditions and challenging work site environments
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, moving equipment
- Proficient in mechanical and/or electrical systems

**Salary**: $25.00 per hour

- Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Calgary, AB T2C 5M2: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- automotive technician: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driver's License (preferred)
- Journeyman (preferred)
