Our Rockyview Surgical Centre has an immediate need for an experienced Medical Device Reprocessing Technician. We are looking for a high energy individual to join a positive and compassionate fast-paced work environment.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Operate and maintain sterilization equipment and instrumentation for re-use according to standardized safety practices.
- Prepare instruments for sterilization and restock supplies.
- Run biological monitoring tests (Rapid Attest) daily on all sterilizers and ensure proper documentation of records.
- Perform Dart test and leak test daily on large sterilizers and ensure proper documentation of records.
- Support cleaning in O.R. theatres between cases per established standards.
- Ensure disposition of laundry, garbage, sharps, and bio-hazardous waste according to established procedure.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Certified through successful completion of CSA or IAHCSMM (International Association of Healthcare Central Service Materiel Management).
- Sterile Processing Certificate from recognized Canadian Post-Secondary Institution.
- High School Diploma from recognized Canadian Secondary Institution required.
- Minimum of 2 years MDR experience.
- Working knowledge of and recent experience in Sterile Processing of surgical instruments required.
- Comprehensive ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in written format.
- Excellent attendance and a discipline-free record.
- Fast-paced environment, repetitive tasks, physically demanding, manual dexterity, attention to detail, standing for extended periods, walking.
