**What skills do we expect you to have?**
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and manage workload to meet deadlines
- Basic accounting knowledge including journal entry preparation and reconciliations.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Ability to identify issues and work with persons and parties involved to resolve in an organized and accountable manner.
- Ability to propose system and process improvements and assist in implementing to improve efficiency of the organization.
**What will we expect you to deliver?**
- Monitor, enforce and comply with financial policies and internal controls.
- Manage account payable function of the organization ensuring that bills are entered and paid accurately, within deadlines and due dates (taking full responsibility within 12 weeks).
- Manage accounts receivable function of the organization to ensure payments received are entered and recorded accurately and timely, and customer balances are monitored to reduce overdue payments (taking full responsibility within 6 weeks).
- Enter/code transactions into accounting software and on a timely basis in accordance with the weekly and monthly deadlines.
- Review credit card transactions and manage the sync/migration and coding process within QuickBooks Online (taking ownership of the process within 6 weeks).
- Perform account reconciliations ensuring transactions are coded accurately and comprehensively and assist with other month-end tasks as assigned (taking full responsibility for assigned accounts and transactions within 12 weeks).
**What Qualifications and Experience do we expect?**
Required
- 3+ years of industry experience with responsibility for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
- Experience working in QuickBooks Online and Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel
Nice To Have
- Post-secondary education/training in bookkeeping or accounting
- Experience working in the finance department for growing technology companies
- Experience with other accounting software
**Location**
- 4 days/week in office (Kitchener) with opportunity for 1 day work from home arrangement

Our sensors help monitor inventory for feed bins by predicting future consumption using deep learning and generating optimal shipping routes using genetic algorithms.
