Event Planner

**Event Planning and Community Engagement**
- **Event Development**: Develop and execute special events aligned with the mission of Wings of Hope for Africa. Plan community-focused events that raise funds, increase awareness, and strengthen connections.
- **Community Engagement**: Organize and foster unity during events that engage local community, volunteers, and supporters.

**Fundraising and Collaboration**
- **Fundraising Coordination**: Coordinate fundraising events such as galas, charity auctions, and charity runs. Collaborate with sponsors, donors, and partners.
- **Marketing Collaboration**: Work with the marketing team and social media manager to promote events and develop impactful marketing materials.

**Event Execution and Management**
- **Logistics**: Handle venue selection, permits, catering, and audio-visual needs to ensure smooth event execution.
- **Volunteer and Speaker Coordination**: Manage volunteer roles and coordinate with guest speakers who align with organizational values.

**Sponsorship, Impact, and Ethical Standards**
- **Sponsorship and Donor Relations**: Secure sponsorships and cultivate donor relationships to enhance fundraising.
- **Impact Measurement**: Develop mechanisms to measure and refine the impact of events based on data.
- **Ethical Adherence**: Ensure all activities reflect the organization's ethical guidelines and values.

Educational Initiatives and Collaborative Efforts
- **Educational Events**: Plan and execute events that inform the community about African challenges and organizational efforts.
- **Inter-organizational Collaboration**: Partner with other NGOs and community groups for joint events.

**Eligibility Requirements**
- **Citizenship/Residency**: Must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
- **Age**: Must be a youth aged 18-30 years old.

**Application Process**

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week

Flexible language requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

**Experience**:

- event planning: 1 year (preferred)
