**Research Associates**:
**Position Overview**:
With a multifaceted role, the position will involve a significant amount of work, both in the investigative and administrative fields, being responsible, among other tasks, for carrying out bibliographic searches, data management, academic publication and dissemination of results, in addition to coordinating the logístical and administrative aspects of research to facilitate the proper development of the projects.
**Duties and Responsibilities**:
**_ Research, Grant administration. and Outreach_**
- Ability to work in a collaborative international team environment to achieve the goals of the MIRA and associated projects.
- Manage a complex and busy calendar for the Principal Investigator of the project.
- Keep track of travel permits for research personnel (PI, Co-PIs, HQP, students).
- Keep track of different international payment transfers for MIRA projects and %ensure compliance.
- Conduct high-level research and literature searches on questions of interest to the project.
- Manage data gathered through the project together with the international partners and their assigned co-managers.
- Participate in academic publications.
- Collaborate with international partners on fieldwork, sample gathering and processing and keep track of the workflow.
- Contribute to the project’s knowledge mobilization plan (KMP) including communicating the project’s outcomes in social media and to project stakeholders, members of the public and local communities in collaboration with international partners.
- Contribute to preparing documentation required by funding agencies.
- Help manage and curate data related to MIRA and affiliated projects.
- Collaborate with the Research associate/Laboratory Manager to provide operational supervision to highly qualified personnel (HQP) and undergraduate students involved in MIRA and related projects.
- Perform other duties, including administrative work, as required, or assigned.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Bioanthropology.
- Experience working in international team environments.
- Experience with the MIRA and the affiliated projects.6
- Experience registering, collecting, processing/managing archaeological data.
- Experience with MS Office.
- Experience using project
- and time-management methods and tools.
- Experience with accounting.
