**Position Overview**

This position is ideal for someone who thrives on people interaction, enjoys variety in their work, and takes pride in building community connections through meaningful engagement and operational excellence.

**Key Responsibilities**:
You will spend 50% of your time as a Volunteer Coordinator and 50% in ReStore support. This position reports to the Director of Operations.
- Volunteer Coordination_
- Recruit, onboard, and train volunteers for ReStores, build sites, events, and community initiatives.
- Develop, implement, and maintain volunteer policies and procedures.
- Identify and create new volunteer opportunities that are engaging, inclusive, and mission-aligned.
- Manage volunteer orientation, scheduling, and recognition programs.
- Support volunteer retention through consistent communication, feedback, and appreciation.
- Maintain accurate volunteer records, certifications, and data in the volunteer management system.
- Coordinate volunteer appreciation and stewardship events.
- Collaborate with local schools, colleges, and community programs to facilitate co-op placements, student volunteer hours, and group engagement opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with all Habitat for Humanity Canada policies, legislation, and internal procedures.
- ReStore Support_

In addition to volunteer coordination duties, this role provides operational and administrative support to ReStore Managers and staff across multiple locations.

Key areas of support include:

- Provide operational and administrative support to ReStore locations under the direction of the Operations Director, working collaboratively with Store Managers to advance ReStore performance and consistency.
- Assist with the implementation of new processes and the improvement of existing workflows to enhance efficiency, safety, and service quality across all ReStores.
- Support the development, revision, and documentation of policies, procedures, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that pertain to the ReStore Operations.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for Shopify Online implementation and ongoing support, ensuring alignment between online and in-store operations.
- Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives that strengthen ReStore operations and support organizational priorities.
- Ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with Habitat for Humanity Niagara policies, procedures, and applicable legislation.

**Qualifications and Skills**
- Post-secondary education in Volunteer Management, Nonprofit Management, Communications, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in volunteer coordination, community engagement, or retail operations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage diverse groups of people.
- Strong administrative and organizational skills, with experience managing data and digital systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, databases, and social media platforms; experience with Shopify or volunteer management software is an asset.
- Experience handling customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism and diplomacy.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel between ReStore locations as needed.
- Availability to work occasional evenings or weekends for events or volunteer activities
- Self-starter, high energy, and strong independent work ethic
- Ability to communicate in a professional manner with donors, volunteers, and staff members
- Ability to work with a diversified group of people
- Sound judgment, superior organization, and prioritization skills
- Ability to lift at least 40lbs
- Ability to bend, twist, push, and pull throughout the day, for extended periods of time
