**The Opportunity**

This position is responsible for the operations function of the shipping and receiving department. This includes order accuracy, meeting tight delivery timelines and efficiency of the department. This position requires someone that can communicate effectively with Operations, Purchasing, Production, service providers, and others involved in the shipment and receipt of products while maintaining accurate inventory. Must be able to pick & pack, track components and shipments using the computer system, and maintaining a clean, organized and neat warehouse area.

This role is central to our logistics efforts and will have broad responsibilities, including:

- Pick and pack components and orders from inventory and distribute items as required
- Prepare necessary shipping documents, maintain accurate records of shipments, and notify customers once the order has been picked up
- Work with supervisor to schedule and ship on-time delivery of products
- Track incoming and outgoing products, equipment or materials.
- Package shipping orders so they arrive undamaged
- Keep work area clean, organized and properly storing parts and materials
- Maintain good relations with customers, vendors, and plant personnel
- Work safely and be aware of all relevant safety procedures and practices
- Maintain inventory accurately and perform monthly count and reconciliation

**Required qualifications**
- 2+ years experience in shipping/receiving, ideally in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of Google software suite, Excel, and inventory software
- Experience with an ERP system (Katana) would be an important asset
- Knowledge of inventory control, shipping/receiving & warehousing best practices
- Minimum High School education
- Attention to detail, ability to learn and follow procedures
