**Overview of ICC**
As the “Voice of Indigenous Business in Manitoba,” the Indigenous Chamber of Commerce (ICC) represents and supports Indigenous-owned and managed businesses, organizations, and allies committed to Indigenous economic growth and reconciliation. The ICC maintains the Indigenous Business Directory (IBD) — a free, publicly accessible database used by governments, Crown corporations, and private sector buyers seeking Indigenous suppliers and contractors.
**Position Summary**
Under the general direction of the President & CEO, the Indigenous Business & Membership Engagement Coordinator will lead outreach and engagement activities to expand and maintain the ICC Indigenous Business Directory, increase ICC memberships, and strengthen business connections between Indigenous and non-Indigenous communities. The role involves relationship-building, outreach, database management, and event participation to promote Indigenous business growth and visibility.
**Key Responsibilities**
**1. Indigenous Business Directory (IBD) Development**
- Conduct outreach to Indigenous businesses and organizations to encourage registration in the ICC Indigenous Business Directory.
- Support businesses through the sign-up process, ensuring accurate and complete information.
- Maintain and update database records and profiles regularly.
- Prepare reports and statistics on IBD participation and trends.
**2. Membership Sales and Engagement**
- Promote ICC membership benefits to prospective members.
- Conduct follow-ups, renewals, and outreach to grow ICC’s membership base.
- Provide support and communications to members to ensure engagement and retention.
- Collaborate with ICC staff to identify value-added services and events for members.
**3. Business Relationship & Opportunity Development**
- Facilitate introductions and connections between Indigenous and non-Indigenous businesses, government partners, and corporate buyers.
- Support ICC events and activities that enhance networking and procurement opportunities.
- Identify and communicate business opportunities and partnerships to members.
**4. Data, Reporting, and Communications**
- Maintain accurate member and directory data in ICC’s CRM system.
- Generate reports, trend analyses, and summary data for ICC leadership and partners.
- Assist in developing communications materials, social media posts, and website updates related to membership and business engagement.
**5. General and Administrative Support**
- Participate in ICC meetings, outreach events, and community engagements.
- Assist with logistics, event support, and documentation as required.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
**Qualifications**
- Education or experience in business administration, communications, marketing, or community engagement.
- 1-2 years’ experience in outreach, sales, or customer relations preferred.
- Experience with CRM systems, databases, or Excel reporting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Familiarity with Indigenous business and community contexts.
- Must be comfortable engaging with people, making outreach calls, and attending community events.
**Other Information**
- Travel: Some travel within Manitoba may be required.
- Hours: 37.5 hours per week.
- Term: Immediate start to March 31, 2026.
- Compensation: $35.00 per hour.
- Location: Winnipeg, Manitoba.
