About the ICC:

As the Voice of Indigenous Business in Manitoba, the Indigenous Chamber of Commerce (ICC) supports and promotes Indigenous-owned and managed businesses across the province. We serve as a bridge between Indigenous and non-Indigenous business communities, government partners, and industry leaders, creating opportunities for connection, growth, and collaboration.

About the Role:

We're seeking an energetic and community-minded professional to join our team as the 
Indigenous Business & Membership Engagement Coordinator
. This role focuses on outreach and relationship-building with Indigenous businesses across Manitoba, helping them access opportunities by joining the 
ICC Indigenous Business Directory (IBD)
 — a free public procurement resource used by federal, provincial, and municipal governments, Crown corporations, and private sector buyers.

The Coordinator will also support ICC membership growth by connecting businesses to the Chamber's network, events, and partnership opportunities. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about Indigenous economic development and business networking.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with Indigenous businesses to promote and onboard them to the ICC Indigenous Business Directory (IBD).
  • Generate new ICC memberships through outreach, relationship-building, and follow-up.
  • Maintain accurate and current business and member records in the database.
  • Help connect Indigenous and non-Indigenous businesses to opportunities for partnership, contracting, and networking.
  • Support ICC events and outreach campaigns that promote business engagement and growth.

What We're Looking For:

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience in outreach, sales, or community engagement.
  • Familiarity with Indigenous business communities in Manitoba is a strong asset.
  • Organized, self-motivated, and confident working with databases and CRM systems.
  • A passion for advancing Indigenous business success and reconciliation through economic partnerships.

Details:

  • Location: Winnipeg, MB
  • Hours: Full-time Term: (37.5 hours/week), Term to end of March 2026
  • Compensation: $35 / hour
