**About the Role**:
As the Project Coordinator, your pivotal role ensures that projects run smoothly by skillfully handling resources and information. You'll be breaking down projects into manageable steps, setting practical timeframes, and offering insights for financial oversight to steer decisions towards project success. Your responsibilities go beyond project management to include providing administrative support and collaborating seamlessly with stakeholders. Leverage your extensive experience working with Indigenous communities and businesses in urban and rural settings to enhance these collaborative efforts. As a Project Coordinator, proficiently handle project documentation, data analysis, and reporting, effectively conveying the story of progress. Be prepared to go beyond the defined scope, demonstrating adaptability and a proactive approach to your duties.
**Desired Skills and Qualifications**:
- **Educational Background**: Preferably post-secondary education in Business Administrative, Project Management, Community Development or a related field.
- **Work Experience**: Demonstrated 1-2 years work experience as a Project Coordinator or in a similar role, showcasing a history of successful project coordination.
- **Certification**: Holding a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or a Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) designation is an asset.
- **End-to-End Project Management**: In-depth experience in project management, with involvement from project conception to successful delivery.
- **Funding Understanding**: Brings experience in handling funding agreements and projects, highlighting financial acumen in project-related matters.
- **Community and Indigenous Engagement**:Demonstrates a proven track record in engaging and working with Indigenous communities, businesses, and individuals, with a strong understanding of Indigenous protocols and traditions.
- **Presentation Skills**:Strong presentation skills, showcasing the ability to convey information effectively to diverse audiences.
- **Attention to Detail**:Demonstrates excellent attention to detail, ensuring precision in project execution and deliverables.
- **Adaptability**:Ability to adapt to changing environments and timelines, showcasing flexibility and resilience.
- **Team Collaboration**:Capable of working independently and as part of a team, promoting a collaborative and cohesive work environment.
- **Communication Skills**: Excellent client-facing communication and strong written and verbal skills for effective team and stakeholder collaboration.
- **Time Management**: Ability to manage time effectively, crucial for meeting project deadlines.
- **Organizational Skills**: Strong organizational skills, showing attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks.
- **Tool Proficiency**: Excellent Microsoft Office suite skills and familiarity with other project management tools.
- **Adaptability in Dynamic Environments**: Excels in fast-paced environments, showcasing strong multitasking skills and the capacity to handle multiple responsibilities concurrently.
**Job Duties**:
- **Project Coordination**: Efficiently coordinate project management activities, including resources, equipment, and information.
- **Project Planning and Execution**: Break down projects into manageable actions, set realistic timeframes, and oversee their successful execution.
- **Financial Oversight**: Assist in preparing budgets and analyzing risks and opportunities associated with projects.
- **Project Monitoring and Issue Resolution**: Oversee project management, monitor progress, and promptly address any issues that may arise during implementation.
- **Documentation and Reporting**: Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans, and reports, ensuring clarity and transparency.
- **Problem Solving**: Demonstrate the ability to identify and solve issues that may arise during a project.
- **Administrative Support**: Assist the ICC Manager with administrative functions and processes related to project management.
