**The Opportunity**
Reporting to the Supervisor, HR and Data Operations, we are looking to hire a Workforce Administrator to join the team.
The Workforce Administrator will manage all workforce administrative transactions throughout the employee lifecycle, from Onboarding through to Offboarding.
This position will be responsible for administrating and processing all transactional activities associated with employee life cycle changes onboarding and offboarding. This position will act as the primary contact for the organization regarding any employee lifecycle inquiries.
**The Role**:
- Validate information aligns with internal processes and position management rules
- Review and enter all new hire paperwork, setting up deduction codes and banking information
- Work with HR Advising Team to ensure all Instructor Work Assignments are accurate and processed into the system
- Collaborate with Payroll Specialists to ensure that all changes are processed accurately and are aligned to collective agreements
- Collaborate with entire Employee Services department to investigate requests when needed and find a solution
- Responsible for maintaining and managing all employee electronic files
- Determine opportunities for process and system improvements
- Participate in projects to support the Employee Services team
- Collaborate with HR Systems team to support on any upgrades or process testing that is required
- Other duties as assigned by the Manager, HR Operations
- Manage workforce administration and control including but not limited to new hires, terminations, reclassifications, contract extensions and renewals.
- Track and coordinate all required discussions and touchpoints for workforce administration as described above.
- Management of employee sick leave including but not limited to Parental, GSL and LTD
- ERP benefit management and verification
- Processing, compilation and electronic filing of all retainable information
- Promote awareness of SAIT HR policies, procedures and programs
- Assist with assignments/projects as required to support employee relations such as negotiations
**Qualifications & Experience**:
- **Minimum**:
- Post-secondary Diploma or Degree in related field.
- 1 - 3 years of experience in a HR Generalist role.
- **
Preferred**:
- Degree in Human Resources, Business, Management Administration preferred.
- Certification or Designations - CPHR preferred.
- Experience working in a unionized environment.
- Experience working in a Public Sector organization.

**Salary range**:$50,000 - $62,000
**Paid Leave**:4 Weeks Vacation / 14 Flex Days per year
**Hours Per Week**:37.5
