The Service Technician / Advisor serves as the main point of contact between the customer and the repair team. They are responsible for diagnosing customer complaints, communicating technical information to both the Lead Mechanic and customers, and ensuring the repair process is smooth and transparent. This role requires a blend of mechanical knowledge and strong customer service skills.

**Key Duties**:

- **Customer Interaction**: Greet customers warmly, listen to their concerns, and assess the issue with the vehicle. Build rapport and trust with customers by explaining issues in clear terms.
- **Service Orders**: Create detailed service orders that accurately reflect customer requests and the required repair work, ensuring all parts and labor are properly recorded.
- **Customer Relations Management**: Handle frustrated or upset customers with professionalism and patience, de-escalating tense situations and providing clear options for moving forward.
- **Upsell Services**: Suggest additional services when appropriate, such as regular maintenance or tire rotations, to enhance vehicle performance and safety.

**Requirements**:

- **Technical Expertise**: Must have a strong understanding of vehicle systems, especially suspension, hoists, brakes, and electrical work.
- **Communication Skills**: Able to translate complex mechanical information into easy-to-understand language for customers.
- **Customer Service**: Calm under pressure and skilled at managing high-stress situations.
- **Experience**: Prior experience as a service technician or service advisor in an automotive shop is preferred.
- **Diagnostic Skills**: Ability to perform basic vehicle diagnostics to assist with initial evaluations.

- French not required

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Every Weekend
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Weekends as needed

**Experience**:

- Customer service: 1 year (required)
- Mechanical knowledge: 1 year (required)
