**Job Description: Accounting Manager - Ferguson Moving and Storage**

Are you a detail oriented professional with a passion for accounting and business growth? Ferguson Moving and Storage is seeking a talented and dynamic Accounting Manager to spearhead our finance department. This is an exceptional opportunity to make a significant impact and impact our growth across Canada.

**Day to day responsibilities include**:

- Manage and reconcile accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll
- Prepare financial reports for management including those that involve modelling and scenario analysis to aid in decision making
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes and job costing
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with financial regulations, prep PST and GST returns
work cross functionally with others onsite, contribute positively to team environment, be a self starter toward high performance standard and desire to learn and grow
- Manage and carry out preparation and analysis of current financial reports and forecasts for efficiency, quality data and future business growth including budgets, income statements, balance sheets; GST/PST returns and reports for Government regulatory agencies; financial management reports to ensure compliance with financial and legal requirements, responsibilities and obligations.
- Reporting (content and format as agreed) monthly, or as otherwise required
- Account Payable
- Ensure all bills are paid in an efficient and timely manner.
- Process, verify, and reconcile invoices
- Monitor expenses and keep a record of it all for tax purposes.
- Accounts Receivable
- Process A/Rs and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
- Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts receivables’ data
- Prepare bills receivable, invoices and bank deposits
- Job Costing
- Develop and maintain job costing standards and process in an accurate and timely manner
- Payroll
- Maintains payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data into the payroll system,
- Retrieve data when necessary.
- Update payroll records by entering changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job title and department/division transfers.
- Support the development of strategic plans for financial analysis to include; financial strategy to achieve agreed targets; effective financial planning
- Contribute to the development and preparation of the organisation’s financial strategy and general business planning
- Prepare presentations and proposals about financial planning
- Set an example for team members of commitment, financial knowledge, work ethics and habits and personal character
- Maintain accurate financial and other records
- Control expenses to meet agreed budgetary controls
- Adhere to all organisation policies and procedures
- Interact and co-operate with all members of the organisation, its suppliers and clients/customers
