As an accounting manager at Summit Tools Company, you will play a pivotal role in steering the accounting functions of our organization. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial records, maintaining compliance with accounting standards. you will collaborate with various departments to uphold the financial integrity and growth of Summit Tools Company.

**Main Responsibilities**:

- Provide comprehensive support to staff and manage Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll and inventory management department, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Maintain precise records.
- Conduct thorough reconciliations of accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Utilize Excel proficiency to prepare detailed KPI reports, showcasing key performance metrics of A/R, A/P, Payroll, and Inventory effectively.
- Ensure Internal controls are effective.
- Collaborate with controller to improve all general financial related systems, processed and internal controls.
- Provide backup for A/R, A/P, Payroll, Goods Receiving and inventory transfer functions as a cross trained team member.
- Embrace the opportunity to take on exciting and ad hoc duties as assigned.
- Manage the submission of various taxes including GST, PST, QST, CSST, and EHT, ensuring timely and accurate filings.
- Efficiently manage volume rebate and advertising rebate claims, verifying eligibility and processing promptly.
- Regularly communicate and report progress on assigned tasks to the Controller, ensuring transparency and alignment with organizational goals.

**Skills and Qualifications**
- Must have an accounting degree and at least 5 years’ full cycle accounting experience.
- Proven experience in managing a team of 10 accountants or more.
- Highly organized and collaborative with strong management skills, strong work ethics, critical thinking, and exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and think outside the box for ways to improve in a fast-paced work environment to meet deadlines.
- Experience in Payroll processing using Payworks and experience with Power BI are an asset.
- Must be able to follow detailed instructions as well as communicate and correspond in a professional manner in a strong team environment. Solid English verbal and written communication skills. English/French language bilingual skiils are an asset.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft office 365, including outlook.
- Advanced Excel - creating Pivots, V-look ups, utilizing formulas, functions, and features to analyze data.
- Monthly filing GST/HST, PST AND QST returns.
- Ability to maintain systems and processes for entering, creating, storing, and accessing information and documents.
- Uses time and resources effectively by planning and scheduling work according to priority and availability of resources.

Pay: From $75,000.00 per year
