**Job Summary**:
Acuity Brands, the largest lighting manufacturer in North America, is excited to announce an opening in its Direct Sales organization within the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) — one of our largest and most dynamic markets. We are seeking a results-driven and highly skilled **Direct Sales Representative** to manage the sales of our distinguished brands**:Holophane, American Electric Lighting, Cyclone Lighting**, and any associated **Acuity Brands** **controls offerings**.

**Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)**:

- Educate and specify for your products with designers, architects, and engineers.
- Ensure standards approvals are in place with appropriate institutions and owners.
- Quote and Close projects with owners, contractors, and distributors.
- Follow up on projects to ensure you have the contract.
- Negotiate prices with clients.
- Seek new clients.
- Be curious and strive to understand your customers business.
- Understand the pulse and market trend for the market.
- Provide post-sales support to clients.
- Support Trade shows locally for exhibit, assembly, and disassembly.
- Coordinate with associates to provide feedback and seek support where needed.

**Skills and Minimum Experience Required**:

- Requires 5-10 years of experience in technical sales.
- Lighting and Controls industry experience an asset.
- Must have a car and a valid driver's license.
- College Diploma or bachelor's degree.
- Can travel 100% in the GTA area.
