**Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)**:

**Relationship Building & Sales Territory Management**
- Responsible for distribution stock sales activity across eastern GTA.
- Identify and develop relationships with electrical contractors & distributors.
- Promote Acuity Brands in the market via positive working relationships with distributors & electrical contractors.
- Actively participate in local events to engage targeted channel
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders, including quotes and customer service groups, in order to meet growth objectives.
- Manage workflow via project management framework.
- Maintain accurate sales activity pipeline by tracking leads & opportunities.

**Accountabilities and Performance Measures**
- Achieve sales quota in designated client accounts.
- Meet profitability expectations.
- Complete client account plans in accordance with company standards.
- Maintain high client satisfaction ratings in accordance with company standards.
- Ability to influence at all levels in an organization, from the leadership to sales teams.
- Potential to assume positions of greater impact and complexity over time.
- A mindset that balances strategy, innovation, and direct execution to achieve success.
- Capacity to build a reputation for utilizing innovative approaches in complex markets and for achieving revenue and market share growth through execution of sales responsibilities.

**Experience (minimum experience required)**:
**Qualified Applicants will have**:

- Minimum of 5 years of sales experience (preferably in the electrical sales market)
- Current residency in **Toronto GTA Area **and an understanding the local market landscape as well as existing relationships with electrical contractors & distributors.
- Sales management experience in a business-to-business environment, (Preference contractor & distributor channel experience)
- Experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred: technically complex controls products) marketed through a variety of distribution channels.
- 4-year university or college degree from an accredited institution or equivalent required.
- Exceptional written & oral communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to multi-task and handle various priorities.

**Travel Requirements**:

- 61-80%

**Job Requirements and Working Conditions**:

- This position requires the employee must hold a valid driver’s license and have their own vehicle.
- The employee shall hold a valid passport.
- This position may require the employee to maintain a home-based office.
