**What the day will look like**:

- As a key member of the Client Service Team, providing first level client contact on an account
- Serving as the internal contact point on all aspects of account activity.
- Internal client facing, liaising with client to receive and provide relevant information, with occasional direct Client facing at the direction of the Account Executive
- Receiving and processing client requests and reviewing documentation for routine policy changes, additions, deletions, renewals or cancellations;
- Coordinating client information with Broking Team to initiate renewal process;
- Receiving policy contracts from Broking Team, providing first level review to ensure apparent client needs have been met;
- Analyzing contracts of clients and their projects identifying potential issues that could be of concern with respect to indemnities and insurance requirements (i.e.. anticipate underwriting issues)
- Under the direction of the principle Account Executive, servicing existing programs, defining routine risk exposure and providing first level advice on general policy coverage;
- Preparing client service summaries, program reports and client survey information for review by Service Team Management;
- Reviewing endorsements, cover notes and certificates of insurance produced by the broking team to ensure their accuracy and completion in support of the team’s service plan;
- Handling and servicing an assigned book of accounts;
- Acting as Account Executive on small to medium insurance accounts

**How this opportunity is different**:
As an Associate Account Executive with the National Mining Practice in Toronto, you are responsible for providing technical and administrative coordination on all aspects of the account, including client services and marketing activities. This role is responsible for coordinating all aspects of client coverage and marketing and serving as the internal central contact point on an account.

**Skills and experience that will lead to success**:

- Minimum 3 to 5 years of commercial insurance experience preferred
- Post Secondary Degree or equivalent preferred
- RIBO License is required
- Client relationship focused
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
- Strong organization skills and the ability to prioritize under pressure of competing deadlines
- Must have strong computer skills and be proficient with the Microsoft Office Package
- Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development including insurance courses/certifications (i.e. Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker (CAIB)/Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP)
- Ability to work collaboratively as a key member of a team and independently with minimum supervision
