VAC Developments is a Canadian company, located in Oakville that specializes in precision fabricated Sheet Metal and Machined parts. We have been a major supplier to the Aerospace and Defence industry since 1979.

We are currently seeking a Human Resources Generalist.

**Do You**:

- a people-person who can navigate and mediate difficult discussions

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide assistance, guidance and counseling to management team in relation to human resource matters.
- Be the point person for all human resource related matters such as policy, attendance management, health and safety, training, benefits administration, etc.
- Conduct full cycle recruitment activities including preparing job descriptions, job postings, pre-screening, interviewing, reference checking, preparing offer letters, conducting orientation and ensuring new hire documentation is completed.
- Track and manage time and attendance in relation to vacation, sick/personal days and other absences.
- Prepare and submit weekly payroll and complete necessary reports

**Qualifications**:

- 5+ years of practical human resources experience within the manufacturing sector
- College or University degree in human resources
- Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) or Leader (CHRL) preferred
- You are proficient with computers and MSOffice (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- You have sound knowledge of current HR legislation, including Canadian provincial employment standards, Human Rights Code and Health & Safety legislation
