Lutheran Early Learning Centers Inc. is hiring a full-time Early Childhood Educator position in the Saskatoon Location. The Early Childhood Educator's primary duty is to provide quality childcare by facilitating learning experiences that promote all areas of development.

**Responsibilities Include**:

- Develop a program based on observation, developmental needs and abilities, and interests of the children based on Play and Exploration model.
- Use a variety of teaching and guidance strategies to support learning during indoor and outdoor play, transitions, and small group activities.
- Provide active supervision of all children and maintain child care ratios.
- Identify and respond to learning opportunities and teachable moments during play and transitions.
- Facilitate development of a child's self-esteem and confidence by expressing respect and acceptance for all children.
- Provide materials related to the exploration of indoor and outdoor environment based on Play and Exploration model.
- Model a positive attitude towards diversity and inclusion of every child, family and staff member.
- Effectively communicate and build relationships with team members daily, taking part in team events and attend regular staff meetings.
- Assist children with personal needs such as assistance with napping, toileting or diapering, and dressing for daily activities.
- Ensure the physical space is clean and orderly daily by performing light housekeeping responsibilities and following a cleaning regimen.
- Keep informed of current research and development in the Early Learning and Childcare field and taking part in Professional Development opportunities.
- Comply with all licensing requirements, provincial regulations and occupational standards pertaining to Early Learning Centers.

**Training & Qualifications**:

- ECE Level I or II Certification from SK Ministry of Education
- Valid certification in First Aid and CPR-C
- A Criminal Record Check with vulnerable sector search
- Food Safety and WHMIS certification is an asset, but not required.
