The Saskatoon Region Early Childhood Intervention Program (SRECIP) offers exciting opportunities for individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and their families and believe in the impact of early childhood support and education. **SRECIP Mission**: "Our mission is to compassionately support families, nurturing growth and resilience as they address their children’s developmental needs through tailored programs and community connections.” We have term full-time and part-time Early Childhood Consultant positions that must be filled immediately. **Do you?** - **Love** being creative in delivering individualized programs for children with developmental delays from birth to school age and their families. - **Possess** in-depth education, training, and experience in early childhood development with the skills and confidence to share and coach families with knowledge and hands-on ideas to support children to reach their full potential. - **Desire** to be part of a team that believes we are empowered by making meaningful connections with the core values of trust, support, respect, acceptance of learning and growing, and compassion. - **Embrace** working independently and are self-motivated in supporting the children and families in their home. - **Welcome** collaborative opportunities to work with the child’s supports, including Speech Language Pathologists, Occupational and Physio Therapists, and community organizations. - **Wish **to have a family work balance by having weekends and evenings off, including being off between Christmas and New Year’s and during the Easter break, in addition to three weeks of vacation. If you answered yes to the above statements, this could be your perfect job As an ECIP Consultant, you will meet with families in their homes 1 to 2 times per month for about an hour, focusing on one or more of the six developmental areas. You will coach caregivers on how to support their child through everyday routines and interactive floor play. Using an assessment tool, you will collaborate with caregivers to develop individualized plans tailored to their child's needs. Key responsibilities include: - Observing and assessing skills of the child to develop family centered goals - Collaborating with the caregiver and families to coach them in positive interactions and strategies that foster their child's learning and growth. - Modeling learning activities for the parents through play and routine based activities in the home to enhance developmental outcomes for the child. - Creating activity packages and resources to support and maximize learning opportunities. - Providing understanding and moral support to the family and connecting families with other community organizations/agencies when appropriate. **The Early Childhood Consultant must exhibit**: - Excellent oral and written communication skills. - Proficiency in coaching and sharing knowledge with caregivers and families. - Experience working with various computer programs. - Flexibility and strong organizational skills. - A valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle (mileage covered by the employer). Reports to the Executive Director. **Minimum qualification**: A recognized professional degree or two-year diploma related to early childhood development and education.
