Events Operations Manager

**Global Convention Services** is currently seeking a result-oriented individual to join our cross Canada team as an **Events Operations Manager** in our **Abbotsford, BC** office.

**The Role**

The **Events Operations Manager** will plan, develop, implement, and oversee company initiatives and projects, while working hand in hand with the sales, event install and warehouse staff daily.

This role will be instrumental in providing our customers throughout British Columbia with high quality customer service while insuring the delivery of products and services to their events.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Manage the day to day operations of the Abbotsford warehouse
- Work with a team of installers to inventory, forecast, and perform the maintenance needed to keep rental inventory in tip top condition.
- Provide leadership to Operations team during event planning and onsite during installation/dismantle ensuring a high level of client satisfaction during the process.
- Be a hands on leader in delivering our products and services to clients throughout British Columbia.
- Work with our team of installers on the show floor to provide excellent and efficient customer experiences.
- Ensure accurate and timely invoicing to clients as required.
- Promote a safety first work culture and work with Heath and Safety Coordinator to ensure all rules and regulations are continuously met.
- Work with Human Resources Coordinator and General Manager to establish a team of qualified installers to provide trade show and special event services throughout British Columbia.

**Skills and Experience Required**
- Minimum 5 years of relevant project management and/or event/facility operations demonstrating ability to manage and execute with a team.
- Previous Experience in a fast paced work environment with multiple priorities
- Organized with effective time management skills.
- Articulate, excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to function under varied working hours and travel schedules, as dictated by the events schedule, including evening and weekends.
- Ability to work along side event installers on the show floor during event install and dismantle
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Forklift Certification considered an asset
- Previous Event Industry experience considered an asset
- Valid driver’s license.

**Salary**: $65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year

- 12 hour shift

- Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Abbotsford, BC V2T 6B3: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Leadership: 4 years (preferred)
- Event Management: 3 years (preferred)

Willingness to travel:

- 25% (required)
