**Global Convention Services** is currently seeking a result-oriented individual to join our cross Canada team as an **Events Operations Manager** in our **Abbotsford, BC** office.

Global provides a full range of event services including account management, advanced warehousing, custom signage, electrical distribution, event setup, floor plan production, material handling, exhibitor services and more.

Our events consist of regional, national, and international trade shows, sporting events and conferences.

Every event is different, which means every day brings new and exciting tasks and challenges.

The **Events Operations Manager** role will plan, develop, implement, and oversee company initiatives and projects, while working hand in hand with the sales and event staff daily.

This role will be instrumental in working with customers throughout British Columbia to coordinate the delivery of products and services to their events.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Manage the day to day operations of the Abbotsford warehouse. Work with a team of installers to inventory, forecast, and perform the maintenance needed to keep rental inventory in tip top condition.
- Project Management - provide leadership to Operations team during event planning and installation ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction during the process.
- Project Execution - be a hands on leader in delivering our products and services to clients throughout British Columbia. Work with our team of installers on the show floor to provide excellent and efficient customer experiences.
- Work with Human Resources Coordinator to establish a team of qualified installers to provide trade show and special event services throughout British Columbia.
- Promote a safety first work culture

**Skills and Experience Required**
- Minimum 5 years of relevant project management and/or event/facility operations demonstrating ability to manage and execute with a team.
- Experience with in a fast paced work environment with multiple priorities
- Organized with effective time management skills.
- Ability to function under flexible work hours and travel schedules.
- Articulate, excellent interpersonal skills.
- Previous Event Industry experience considered an asset
- Valid driver’s license.
- Forklift Certification considered an asset
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

**Salary**: $55,000.00-$70,000.00 per year

**Experience**:

- Leadership: 4 years (preferred)
- Event Management: 3 years (preferred)
