**Experience**: Minimum 5 Years of Professional Experience in Public Accounting and taxation.

**Position Overview**:We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tax Firm Manager and team leader to lead our team. The Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of our clients’ tax compliance and planning needs and lead the senior and junior accounting staff.

**Responsibilities**:

- Oversee the preparation, and review of individual, corporate, trust, partnerships, and non-residents tax returns
- Stay current on tax laws, regulations and industry trends
- Provide tax planning and consulting services to clients, including strategies for minimizing tax liabilities and maximizing tax savings opportunities
- Research and interpret tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and identify tax planning opportunities
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, providing timely and proactive tax advice and guidance
- Assist with tax audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities
- Demonstrated Leadership Skills including Mentorship, Problem Solving, and Client Deadlines and Expectations
- Supervise and mentor tax staff, providing guidance and support needed
- Overseeing, Assigning, and Managing Staff Workloads
- Direct Client Communications and Relationship Management
- Leading a High-Performing Team and Fostering a Culture of Collaboration and Excellence
- Compiling Financial Statement in Accordance with ASPE and GAAP
- Experience in Preparation and Filing of US tax returns would be an asset
- Overseeing and Managing the Monthly Billing and Month End Closings
- Preparation and filing of tax appeals to the Appeals Division at the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) and Navigate the Appeal to a Successful Conclusion including representing clients at the Tax Court of Canada (TCC)

**Requirements**:

- CPA Designation or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in public accounting with focus on Canadian taxation
- Expertise in taxation for various entities and strong technical knowledge of Canadian tax laws and regulations
- Experience with tax planning and consulting for individuals, and businesses
- Strong Leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and interpersonal skills, with ability to effectively interact with clients and team members
- Proven leadership abilities, with experience managing and mentoring staff
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to compile financial statements according to ASPE and GAAP
- Proficiency in tax software, Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online, Sage, and CaseWare.

Pay: $80.00-$100.00 per hour
