Canadian Public accounting experience required.

Responsibilities include:

  • planning, execution and completion of compilation and review engagements for owner-managed businesses
  • preparation of tax returns - corporate, personal, trust and not for profit
  • mentoring and training junior team members
  • investment accounting
  • providing clients with technical support
  • corresponding with CRA
  • direct report to partners

Qualifications required
:

  • CPA designation with minimum 2-3 years Canadian post-qualification experience
  • Experience in ASPE assurance work, with up-to-date knowledge of tax compliance for owner-managed clients
  • Strong technical expertise in accounting and professional standards
  • Working knowledge of CaseWare, CaseView, Profile, and QuickBooks Desktop/Online
  • Providing hands-on support to clients and junior staff
  • Team player, self-motivated, well organized and efficient, ability to work independently
  • Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills between clients, staff and government agencies

Vehicle required for travel to client's premises.

Salary: $90,000-$120,000

4 weeks vacation
