**Job Overview**
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Human Resources Generalist to join our dynamic team. As the Human Resources Generalist at Positive, you play a critical role in the organization. This role has considerable influence on the immediate and long-term success of this growing organization. Working closely with key department heads, you will be instrumental in developing a culture of excellence and a work environment that will ensure high employee engagement and satisfaction. You will be charged with providing advice and solutions in our organizational structure, performance management, policy management, training, and all personnel-related matters.
- **Key Role Responsibilities **_

**Recruiting and Staffing**
- Work with various departments to optimize the structure and staffing requirements from both a long-term perspective, as well as the day to day requirements.
- Ensure role profiles are relevant and guide the development of new role profiles.
- Develop and maintain a recruiting program for a wide variety of roles, utilizing multiple channels from online recruiting sites to temporary staffing agencies.
- Identify, retain, and develop talent both internally and through active recruiting programs to support the continued growth of the company.
- Onboarding of employees including orientation and training programs

**Performance Management & Improvement**
- Develop and maintain an effective employee records management system.
- Provide leadership to managers and oversee employee performance reviews.
- Provide guidance and participate in employee disciplinary events.
- Develop employee engagement programs, using a variety of strategies.
- Perform periodic surveys to determine appropriate compensation, identifying trends, and maintain a remuneration schedule.
- Participate in employee exit interviews, and action important information to improve workforce.
- Develop and manage employee benchmarks with department managers.

**Policy Management**
- Develop and maintain policies to ensure compliance with all applicable legislation.
- Monitor local and federal government agencies for changes to legislation.
- Communicate and document policy changes to employees.

**Employee Services & Counseling**
- Provide leadership and guidance to employees, fostering an environment of trust, fairness and equal opportunity.
- Oversee the company’s benefits program.
- **General Responsibilities**:_
- Drive a culture of accountability and high performance.
- Drive and foster an inclusive organizational culture.
- Develop and Improve employee engagement.
- Drive organizational excellence.
- While actively participating on the Joint Health and Safety Committee, you will strive to provide a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.
- Objectively investigate, analyze, document, and address personnel issues.
- Ensure compliance with the Workplace Safety & Insurance Board Policies and Regulations.
- Operate at both a strategic and operational level.
- **Requirements**:_
- Minimum of 2 years experience working in a Human Resources leadership role, preferably within a supply chain / warehousing environment.
- Post Secondary education in Human Resources.
- CHRP designation or working towards.
