Brimich is a family owned and operated 3PL & warehousing company. We are a growing organization and currently looking for a Sr. HR Generalist to join our winning team in Etobicoke and help lead our business grow and improve.
In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for supporting day-to-day HR operations and driving strategic HR initiatives while partnering closely with leaders, employees, and junior HR staff to ensure consistent HR practices, promote a positive and compliant workplace culture, and support the full employee lifecycle—from recruitment to offboarding.

This in an in-office role. Hours of work are 8am-4pm, Monday-Friday.

Responsibilities:
- Partner with Supervisors, Managers, and HR team members to investigate and resolve employee issues, ensuring consistent application of progressive discipline.
· Ensure appropriate updates for job descriptions, employee policies, procedures, work instructions and employee handbook.
- Help to coordinate employee engagement initiatives.
- Administer the company benefit plan including processing enrollments, revisions, and terminations as well as assisting associates with issues/inquiries relating to benefits.
- Maintain employee files and the HR filing system.
- Conduct exit interviews and identify trends to support organizational improvement.
- Assist with managing the Return-to-Work program for non-work- related illness/injury.
- Provide coaching and guidance to leadership on employee relations matters including support in the creation of disciplinary letters all infractions.
- Manage internal and external HR inquiries, concerns, and complaints while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
- Remain current in provincial regulations and relevant standards to ensure policies, procedures and the team are updated accordingly.
- Communicate policy updates and HR information through appropriate internal channels.
- Monitor employee attendance and collaborate with management on corrective actions when necessary.
- Track the administration of the annual performance review process for all employees and ensure performance evaluation methods are adhered to by all supervisors/managers; establish Performance Improvement Plans as necessary.
- Oversee the full cycle recruitment and selection process including managing the internal job posting program.
- Represent the business at job fairs and other networking events.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with recruitment agencies, educational institutions, and other external partners.
- Maintain, update and deliver the New Hire Orientation for employees.
- Assess existing training programs and recommend enhancements to support organizational needs and employee development
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
- A Bachelors' degree or college diploma in HR related field combined with minimum 5 years of experience is required.
- Certified Human Resources Professional or Leader designation is preferred.
- Must possess effective oral and written communications skills and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Strong leadership, presentation and facilitation skills
- Positive, proactive, and solutions-oriented approach to problem-solving and daily challenges.
- Working knowledge of and the ability to interpret the Employment Standards Act and other applicable legislations
- Proven ability to manage confidential information and interact professionally with employees at all organizational levels.
- You have experience with recruiting best practices.
- Demonstrates excellent organizational skills and be a self-starter.
- Great attention to detail and high accuracy with data entry.
- Well versed in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.).
- Knowledge of Health and Safety standards.
