Job Summary
**A Brief Overview**
This position is responsible for the efficient day-to-day operation of the box office. This is a front-line customer service position that assists patrons and guests of the IBCPA and coordinates box office operations and daily sales. This position provides expertise in all facets of box office software systems including report building, event creation, subscription rollover and customer service. This position coordinates the casual staff recruitment process and trains, schedules, and provides guidance to casual box office staff. This position facilitates sales and marketing initiatives through e-marketing. This position also directs, allocates, and supervises the work of other staff.
The schedule for this position requires the incumbent to work evenings and weekends.
**Job Description**:
**What you will do** Coordinates and ensures the smooth operations of the box office.
- Coordinates box office software upgrades and programming.
- Distributes e-communications through the patron database and updates the website.
- Builds and proofs website listings.
- Other duties as required in support of the department and/or unit.
**Required Education**
- Three-year Community College Diploma or Three-Year Bachelor Degree, or equivalent.- in performing arts preferred.
**Required Experience**
- More than 3 years and up to and including 5 years of experience.- Previous box office experience in a performing arts centre considered an asset.
- Experience with the Spektrix ticketing system considered an asset.
- Experience in client and/or customer experience functions considered an asset.
- Experience in financial management practices considered an asset.
- Experience overseeing staff recruitment and scheduling considered an asset.
- Experience in planning and/or managing projects considered an asset.
- Experience in web design and website content development and management tools considered an asset (e.g., DreamWeaver, FrontPage, etc.).
Consideration may be given to an equivalent combination of education and experience.
**Job Knowledge and Requirements**

- Draw logical conclusions and provides opinions and recommendations.
