Based in our Burnaby office, and reporting to Director, Health and Safety, the **Human Resources Coordinator** will support and work with HR/HSE team members, leaders, and employees to support and deliver progressive and inclusive human resources programs and initiatives aligned with the values and needs of the organization.

**The Day to Day.**
- Lead and conduct employee investigations for workplace conduct, bullying, and harassment.
- Provide employee relations support and solutions in both unionized and non-unionized work environments using your knowledge of the applicable employment legislation and CBA.
- First point of contact for leaders and employees within your client groups regarding all HR matters
- Advise and support your client groups regarding employee experience and engagement, performance management, attendance management, and LOA management.
- Act as ambassador for the HRIS and support leaders and employees in using the HRIS.
- Participate in the development and implementation of HR processes to support the business.

**Education**: Post-secondary education in Human Resources or equivalent.

**Experience**: Minimum one to two (1-2) years of relevant HR experience. CPHR designation an asset but not required.

**What you bring.**
- Knowledge of HR best practices and employment legislation.
- Experience in employee relations, performance management, employee experience and engagement, attendance, and ability management.
- Strong working knowledge in conducting investigations, specifically related to respect in the workplace, bullying and harassment, and employee conduct complaints.
- Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple demands.
- Possess diplomacy and tact required to deal effectively with all levels of employees in the organization.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
- Able to work occasional weekends and evenings as needed (banked time)

**Required Security Clearances** must consent to a Criminal Background Check
