**Academic Coordinator for Accounting & Bookkeeping Program**
- Pay: $42,000 - $45,000/yr based on experience and qualifications_
**Summary of the Academic Coordinator for Accounting & Bookkeeping Program**:
Under the direction of the Director of Education the Academic Coordinator (AC) assists the faculty in delivering a quality program for all Accounting & Bookkeeping students. This position manages the program’s daily operations ensuring faculty are recruited, trained, and can capably teach the program curriculum. The AC will be responsible for ensuring the Accounting & Bookkeeping program curriculum remains up to date as the industry evolves. The AC will be responsible for managing faculty and being a resource for instructors to assist in motivating students to excel while ensuring that students’ individual learning needs are met. The AC will also be required to teach initially and periodically in the program. This position is designed to be flexible and work around the schedule of a working accountant/bookkeeper. **This position will be hybrid, part-time to start at 24 hours per week (Monday - Friday) with the potential for increased hours as needed. Expected start is by August 11, 2025.**
**Responsibilities of the Academic Coordinator for Accounting & Bookkeeping Program**:
- Teach a minimum of 2 online lectures per week & mark assignments.
- Finalize grades for each module and provide grades and attendance report to registrar and financial aid.
- Reach out to at-risk students and coordinate one-on-one meetings/coaching.
- Address student questions and concerns.
- Faculty onboarding, coaching, and management.
- Other related projects, duties, and responsibilities as assigned.
**Requirements of the Academic Coordinator for Accounting & Bookkeeping Program**:
- Proof of diploma (at minimum) in Accounting & Bookkeeping.
- 4+ years current field related experience in or related field required.
- QuickBooks certification strongly preferred.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously in a collaborative environment.
- Previous experience in an educational setting or academic administration is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in using educational technology and software for program management.
- A commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment that supports all students.
- Ability to educate others on academic policies, procedures, and best practices in education.
**Physical Demands/Work Environment**:
- Ability to work in a virtual environment using software technology including but not limited to virtual meeting tools, such as Zoom, Instant Messaging, Canvas Learning Management System (LMS).
- The ability to efficiently operate a computer and its peripheral equipment (keyboard, mouse, etc.).
- The ability to sit or stand for six to eight hours.
- The ability to work at least 24 hours a week to start.
