**Description**
We are seeking a Payroll Administrator to work within our Payroll team. This position will report to the Payroll Manager.
**Responsibilities**:
- Entering employee payroll data and timesheets into the payroll system.
- Ensuring that payroll data is collected, inputted, processed, balanced, and verified.
- Ensuring all hourly personnel, weekly timesheets and changes are accurately entered into the payroll system on-time.
- Deadline driven with good time management skills.
- Communicate issues or improvements needed for Payroll Processing/HRIS software.
- First point of contact for employee support for payroll-related inquiries.
- Identify and resolve payroll issues/discrepancies.
- Responsible for maintaining confidential payroll data records as well as preparation for external audits.
- Assisting on all year-end documents, including issuing T4s on an annual basis.
- Assist with month end and year end processes, compiling statistical reports, statements and summaries as required.
**Qualifications**:
- PCP (Payroll Compliance Practitioner) is an asset
- 3 years payroll experience
- Automated payroll systems experience is a MUST (i.e. Workday, ADP, Ceridian, UKG)
- Strong knowledge of legislation and ESA across Canada
- Advanced proficiency with Excel and ability to manipulate large pieces of data
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, problem-solving abilities
- Must be able to work effectively in a team setting, a dedicated team player
- Able to work within tight payroll deadlines
- Excellent critical thinking ability
