**THE OPPORTUNITY**
- Perform Production Operator job duties and assist team members in meeting product requirements.
- Inspect finished product, verify date codes and seals, and complete required production and quality paperwork.
- Properly lockout and restart equipment according to safety procedures.
- Perform Machine Operator, Scaler, Lead Hand and Shipper duties in the event of their absence.
- Assist with production line set-up and changeovers.
- Assist with coordinating and overseeing work of department employees.
- Complete quality checks, verification of lot and item numbers, and recording production material in ERP system.
- Conduct new hire training and check-in with new employees when required.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and complete any minor adjustments.
- Responsible for maintaining food safety standards and reporting food safety issues to QA immediately.
- Work in a safe manner in compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
**THE REQUIREMENTS**
- Read, write, and communicate (English)
- Proficient mathematical skills
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, teamwork and leadership skills
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent attention to detail
- Must be mechanically inclined with good problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a cold environment
- Previous forklift experience an asset
