Your primary duties will include:Setting up and calibrating production machinery at the beginning of each shift to ensure proper functioning.Loading and unloading large rolls of paper and other raw materials into the machine with precision and care.Performing critical tasks such as splicing materials during production runs to maintain continuous operation.Constantly monitoring machine operations to identify any potential issues, such as jams or malfunctions, and troubleshooting them promptly to minimize downtime.Operating the production line equipment to transform raw materials into a finished product, ready for the shipping stage.Conducting regular quality control checks on finished products using measuring tools to ensure they meet exact specifications and industry standards.Adjusting machine settings as needed to correct any deviations from quality standards.Performing general housekeeping duties around your workstation to maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.Navigating the production floor, which includes frequent walking and climbing stairs, throughout the duration of your shift.Adhering to all company safety protocols and procedures to contribute to a secure workplace for everyone.Collaborating with team members and supervisors to optimize production processes and meet daily output targets.Assisting with other duties as assigned to support the overall goals of the production team.QualificationsTo be considered for this Machine Operator role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:A minimum of one year of hands-on experience in a production line environment, preferably as a Machine Operator.Demonstrated experience with operating industrial machinery.The physical capability to consistently lift up to 35 lbs and perform tasks that involve bending, twisting, lifting, and prolonged periods of standing and walking.Proven knowledge and experience using precision measuring tools such as measuring tape, verniers, and micrometers.A strong employment history that demonstrates reliability and tenure in previous roles.A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.SummaryIf you are a motivated and detail-oriented Machine Operator ready to take on a new challenge in Brantford's thriving manufacturing & logistics sector, we want to hear from you.
