**Responsibilities of the Job**:

- Support positive working relationships by assisting managers with the new hire, retention strategies and disciplinary measures
- Workforce planning to achieve optimum use of human resources taking into consideration time off request approvals so as to not impede production
- Implement policies and procedures and maintain current policies and procedures as required
- Ensure documentation follows current employment legislation and is aligned throughout the Company’s policies and procedures
- Collaborate with Health & Safety team and Management on relevant matters
- Review job descriptions and roles and responsibilities for each position
- Implement and monitor effective performance management initiatives and offer suggestions and/or deliver training programs
- Perform exit interviews and suggest improvements for staff retention and the reduction in attrition
- Ensure sensitive and confidential information is safeguarded and meets all privacy regulations and legislation
- **Who you are**:

- 2+ years’ experience in a similar manufacturing industry
- A degree or diploma and certifications related to Human Resources
- A strong understanding of best practices and current BC regulations specific to HR
- The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and communications with staff, peers and superiors both within and outside of the immediate organization.
- Excellent judgment and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage conflict
- Strong decision-making skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong computer literacy (Payworks experience an asset).
- Strong data analytical skills
- Self-motivated and results-oriented
- A demonstrated ability to handle multiple demands and competing priorities and to meet deadlines

Compensation based on experience and knowledge. The hours are full-time from 7:30am - 4:00pm, 40 hours per week. This role will be located in Port Coquitlam, BC.
