**Responsibilities**:
The Administrative Assistant - Sample Reception Technician position will be responsible for ensuring that client work orders are entered into our system accurately. The position may include some or all of the following responsibilities or any other tasks assigned directly or indirectly by the department manager:

- Receive and inspect incoming shipments for damage
- Verify all incoming client samples against client paperwork and advise client of any discrepancies
- Handle samples (soil, rock, water, etc) in accordance with the quality operating procedures and pass to departments for processing
- Enter new orders accurately in our system
- Document any additional information pertaining to orders
- Maintain client communication
- Perform general laboratory housekeeping

**Abilities and Skills**:

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Motivated, quality driven, pro-active and ability to multi-task
- Possess strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Proficient computer skills
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work as a team member and work well unsupervised
- Willingness to display needed effort to meet company goals of improved TAT and quality and work overtime if required

**Qualifications**:

- High School
- Administration Certificate is an asset
- Previous experience working within a data entry capacity is an asset
