**Responsibilities**:

- Ensuring sales opportunities are maximized and that customers receive excellent service and quality goods;
- Building and maintaining longstanding customer relationships;
- Supporting the Department Manager in ensuring smooth operation of the Greenhouse department, including but not limited to: receiving and merchandising live product, maintaining live product, allocating resources, maintaining communication within the organization, and ensuring customer needs are met;
- Supporting training in product knowledge, product features and benefits, and related products to meet all of our customer needs and inquiries;
- Fostering the inspiring, helpful, and energetic atmosphere and culture TERRA is known for within the department, with peers, supervisors, and towards all aspects of the position.

**Requirements**:

- Sales focus in fast-paced/high-volume setting; ability to meet the needs of several customers/stakeholders at once;
- Experience working on a team, preferably in a big box or large-scale/high-volume retail environment;
- Enjoys working outside in all seasons, in all weather conditions, and with a willing and eager demeanour;
- Working knowledge/education of plant health is an asset;
- This is a physically demanding position with frequent:

- Lifting up to 40 lbs from floor to waist
- Lifting up to 20 lbs above shoulder height
- Pushing/pulling more than body weight
- Repeated movements
- Bending, crouching, kneeling repeatedly
- Standing and walking for extended periods on concrete floors and in safety footwear and PPE
- Ladder use
- Good organizational skills; ability to effectively plan physical space and time;
- Uniform required. Must have Green Patch CSA approved safety footwear.
